Mold-safe hotel recommendations in Scottsdale and Arizona desert

  Hi! The Fairmount Princess Resort and Spa would be fabulous. I have not slept there but the spa was overall great and I’ve visited multiple times by purchasing a day pass or treatment. I do not recommend going into the eucalyptus room.. humidity and mold central. No ..no ..nope. I would not recommend the Omni Scottsdale (Joya Spa) They have the hot tub indoors and it’s just old and there is mold hanging about despite there “new renovations.” Huge moisture control issues there. I hope this is helpful! I’m excited to see if others have recommendations on good places to go. This sounds like an awesome trip you are planning and I have positive thoughts that you will have a great time once you pin point a resort!

  Only place I will ever stay is somewhere that has tile flooring, and full open air balcony so that I can open the room up turn off the HVAC and sleep outside. Other than that, I haven’t found many truly safe options. Good luck, though!

  We just got back from the Gaylord Pacific in Chula Vista near San Diego. We’re very sensitive to mold and we had no issues. The hotel is only a year old and is very nice.

  I thought out in desert is where ppl go cause it’s dry and u would do better ??I’m confused..

  This is our fav hotel in Scottsdale. I had no issues there this last spring. It has an amazing pool area without the resort prices. Just be careful about where you room is situated. There is construction on the north side of the building. If you can swing a suite there are some on the east side with amazing views. Hilton North Scottsdale at Cavasson

  Are you sensitive to the desert elements, high winds? Valley Fever is common in the Las Vegas desert. I'm not sure about Arizona. There are nice places in the Coachella Valley desert/La Quinta/Rancho Mirage. Do you think you might do ok at coastal resorts like The Montage in Laguna Beach or Ritz in Monarch Beach? I haven't read to see if there are reviews.
